iPhone 4s

Last night Apple unveiled what we hoped would be the iPhone 5, but all we got was the tweaked 4 (the 4s).

Shares dropped by 5% as soon as it was announced. Something tells me the public aren’t happy.

So what does it all mean to the average layman?

They announced iOS5 boasting over 200 new features. Available October 12th – but existing iPhone users will be able to download this (see here)

The camera has been improved, the battery life is longer, the antenna problem fixed and now also available as a 64GB.

The only real major difference between the 4 and the 4s is the voice technology – which allows you to speak your texts.

Myself I text because it is the quieter option but it does allow those who can’t spell or type very well, whilst still giving the recipient the opportunity to read it quietly.

Question is now is will those who have been hanging on for the 5 actually upgrade now? Will they still wait for the 5? Or have Apple just disappointed too many users and they will turn to other smart phones?
